Interior Review of the 2024 Honda Pilot
Every 2024 Honda Pilot has three rows of seating and a 158 cubic-foot passenger cabin. Eight seats are standard across the range, with bench seats for the second and third rows. You can also add a one-touch tilt-and-slide powered moonroof for an airier cabin on the TrailSport, Touring, and Elite trims.
However, the EX-L and TrailSport trims offer a captain chair option for the second row. This reduces seating capacity to seven but provides two individually adjustable second seats with armrests. If you have elderly parents or tall teenagers, they'll like these seats.
The 2024 Pilot is a very family-friendly vehicle, thanks to many storage solutions around the cabin. A multi-functional center console is standard, with map lights and an integrated sunglasses compartment. All trims also have USB and USB-C charging ports for the first and second rows. There's even a 12-volt power socket in the cabin and up to 14 cup holders, depending on the trim.
When all three rows of seating are up, there are 19 cubic feet of cargo space. However, you can split-fold the second and third rows for various seating and cargo configurations. With both rows fully folded, cargo space is a cavernous 87 cubic feet. Hence, bringing home a set of patio furniture or the latest smart home appliance is made easier.
You can secure your cargo via multiple tie-down anchors and bag hooks. The cargo area light also helps with visibility.

The Honda Pilot’s rugged looks and purposeful stance are unchanged for the 2024 model year. LED headlamps are standard across the range and include auto on/off and high beams. Meanwhile, the TrailSport trim gets special red TrailSport badging. Moreover, a powered tailgate with a programmable lift height is standard on the EX-L trim and upwards, as is an acoustically laminated windshield.

Power and Performance of the 2024 Honda Pilot
The 2024 Honda Pilot has a 3.5-liter naturally aspirated V-6 under the hood. This engine is known for its silky smooth power delivery. It produces 285 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission is standard. In addition, some trims add steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters for manual gear selection.
The 2024 Pilot range is front-wheel drive for most trims and can be optioned with Honda’s i-VTM4 (Intelligent Variable Torque Management) all-wheel drive system. The only exceptions are the TrailSport and Elite trims, which have the i-VTM4 as default.
The 2024 Pilot range has a drive selector on all trims. Front-wheel drive variants have five modes: Econ, Normal, Sport, Snow, and Tow. On the other hand, all-wheel-drive variants get a Sand mode. Meanwhile, the TrailSport trim also has a special Trail mode.
Also exclusive to the TrailSport trim is a one-inch suspension lift, all-terrain tires, and off-road-tuned suspension. This trim also comes with steel skid plates for underbody protection when off-roading.
The Honda Eco Assist™ system comes on all trims. It helps the driver adopt a more fuel-efficient driving style via visual prompts. Honda rates the 2024 Pilot’s maximum towing capacity at 5,000 pounds in all-wheel drive form. Meanwhile, front-wheel drive variants can tow 3,500 pounds.
