2026 Honda CR-V TrailSport Hybrid – Power and Efficiency in an Electrified Package

There is no doubt that the CR-V is a capable small SUV, and its hybrid version only underscores that. The CR-V Hybrid delivers power, fuel economy, and versatility. For 2026, Honda has upped the ante by introducing a TrailSport trim level to the lineup. The TrailSport trim is one of the most popular trims for Honda vehicles.

With its award-winning Honda hybrid-electric system and TrailSport design, the 2026 Honda CR-V TrailSport Hybrid is a true trail-ready SUV. It features rugged utility and refined hybrid performance. It combines real-world off-road capability with advanced technology and Honda's high-quality build.

Key Features

Rugged Enough for the Trail, Stylish Enough for the Road

The Honda CR-V TrailSport Hybrid offers even more rugged styling and additional capability to the best-selling Honda model, including trail-ready all-terrain tires and standard all-wheel drive. Even with these new features, the model maintains the outstanding and class-leading off-road dynamics that make the CR-V popular.

The vehicle features Continental CrossContact ATR all-terrain tires (235/60R18), specifically designed for use on loose surfaces, including dirt, gravel, and snow. Mounted on 18-inch Shark Gray wheels, these tires provide excellent traction and durability off-road while remaining quiet and comfortable on the road.

With the 2026 CR-V TrailSport Hybrid, the vehicle will debut in Ash Green Metallic as part of the TrailSport color palette. This deep, earthy color first appeared on the Passport TrailSport. This subtle yet distinctive design separates the TrailSport from the rest of the CR-V line.

Enhanced Traction, Better Off-Road Performance

There’s more to Honda's upgrade than just cosmetics. An advanced version of Real-Time AWD with Intelligent Control™ is available on the CR-V TrailSport Hybrid. As the system detects uneven wheel rotation at low speeds, it adjusts torque delivery accordingly, boosting grip when one wheel slips.

This CR-V is also equipped with hill descent control and Snow Mode for all-year-round off-roading in Illinois.

Hybrid Power for the Trails

The CR-V TrailSport Hybrid has the same 8.2 inches of ground clearance as the standard model. TrailSport does, however, offer one thing no other model does.

Since the CR-V is Honda's only crossover with a hybrid powertrain, the TrailSport version also comes with one. Under the hood, this vehicle has a 2.0-liter inline-4 engine with a two-motor hybrid system. This powertrain setup delivers 247 lb-ft of torque and 204 horsepower. All-wheel drive is standard.

For 2026, Honda also tweaked its all-wheel-drive system to improve off-road performance at low speeds. The car's traction control detects slippage under braking and transfers power to the wheels with grip when needed.
