Honda has totally redesigned the CR-V for the 2023 model year. Beyond its attractive new looks, the SUV is now larger than before, offering more room on the inside for passengers and their cargo. The interior is well-furnished and comfortable, and it can be stocked with popular features like wireless smartphone connectivity. The standard turbocharged 4-cylinder engine has been returned for enhanced performance and gas mileage, and the 2023 CR-V is available with an extraordinarily efficient hybrid powertrain in the Sport and Sport Touring models as well. Stunning color options for 2023 include Canyon River Blue Metallic and Crystal Black Pearl.

North America met the CR-V in 1997. Originally, it was solely offered as a four-wheel drive model, powered by a 126-hp 2.0L 4-cylinder engine. Only one year later, it offered the lower-cost, two-wheel drive model.

A complete redesign in 2002 brought a new i-VTEC engine and increased cargo space. The 2005 model featured cosmetic changes to the headlight design and added 16-inch wheels. A major redesign came about in 2007, adding a conventional liftgate and a five-speed automatic transmission. In 2010, horsepower was upgraded to 180.
